How to Apply for a Home

Most of our homes are let through Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cheshire East Council, and Warrington Borough Council. However, we occasionally have homes available directly from us. You can check our current listings here.

We also advertise some properties on Rightmove, so be sure to check regularly in your area!

Register for Housing

We do not manage housing waiting lists directly. To apply for a home, you must register and bid through the relevant local authority:

  • West Cheshire: Apply via Cheshire West & Chester Council’s West Cheshire Homes system. You can set up alerts to be notified of new listings.
  • East Cheshire: Apply via Cheshire East Council’s housing system .
  • Warrington: Apply through Warrington Borough Council’s affordable homes portal .

What Happens After Your Application Is Accepted?

Once your application is approved, we want to ensure you can live comfortably within your means. As part of this, we will:

  • Conduct affordability and eligibility checks (which may include a credit reference check). See the required evidence for checks here .
  • Require one month’s rent in advance, payable when you sign your tenancy agreement (either in person or online).
  • Assess the home for any necessary repairs or improvements before move-in. Some work may need to be completed before you receive your keys, and we’ll keep you updated on timescales.

You can read more about our Empty Homes Standard to know what to expect when moving in.
