Speaking about mental health can be tough, no matter your age. Here are some tips for talking to a young person who might be struggling.
- Have an open and honest conversation about how they’re feeling
- Play and do activities for children to explain how they feel without words
- Remind them it’s OK to feel these emotions and they will pass
- Spend time together doing fun activities such as walks outside or crafts
- Seek support from community groups and charities like YoungMinds
