National Lottery funding for our Employment Support Team
The Trust will use the funding to provide the “Raising Aspirations” project; a free holistic mentoring programme for adults in Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham and surrounding areas to realise their potential. The project aims improve the quality of life of participants by boosting confidence and self-belief and identifying and removing barriers to ultimately help participants move into secure employment.
This new National Lottery funding will enable the Trust Employment Support Team to offer tailored support for adults from any background, whether employed or not, to identify and address barriers that prevent them from making changes and improvements that will ultimately help participants move into, or close to, securing employment and improving wellbeing.
The service launched in July and will support 540 people over a three-year period. Mentors from the Trust meet participants in their community and provide a 1-1 personalised, holistic service with the individual taking ownership of the journey. Customers can choose with their mentors from a selection of activities that they want and need to access. This could include confidence building, health, nutrition and wellbeing, employability, budgeting career exploration, work preparation, or interview skills.
