Stay safe when using indoor heaters

If you are using space heaters to heat your home this winter, please follow all the safety information.
  • Buy a space heater that has a guard to keep people safe from burns.
  • Never leave a space heater turned on when you leave the house or go to sleep. 
  • Keep them at least 3 feet away from flammable materials like rugs, curtains, bedding, etc.
  • Always plug the heater directly into a socket and regularly check for wire wear and tear.
  • Only use indoor heaters inside, patio heaters are dangerous so never bring them inside.
