VE Day celebrations for our residents
Our Independent Living Apartments in Northwich celebrated VE Day today!
The event was organised by Sue Horan, one of our Independent Living Assessors, with support from Lucy Cripps, one of our Housekeepers. Both Sue and Lucy came dressed as Land Girls as part of the afternoon’s celebrations.
Home baked cakes and corned beef hash were provided as well as music from the war years, a raffle, dancing and lots of chats - the decorations were also homemade by our craft club!
One of our customers attending was ex-forces himself and spent time telling us about some of his own experiences serving for his country.
