People and Skills

Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council, the People and Skills programme runs until March 2025.  The programme supports people who are economically inactive (not claiming benefits or claiming benefits but have no work-related commitments with JCP) to remove barriers and progress with their lives. Participants will work one to one with a mentor to create a bespoke action plan which will support them to progress. The programme focuses on areas such as health and wellbeing, social isolation, housing, quality of life and self confidence and belief.

Meetings are held in community venues in Northwich, Winsford, Helsby, Frodsham and surrounding rural areas. Participants must be over the age of 18 and be economically inactive. (If you are unsure of this please speak to one of the team who can help you understand your status).
